Implementation Analysis
The following are the Six Phases for Implementation of the Blended Learning Model:
I.Phase 1: Share the Vision and Seek Administrative Support - Year 1
Share with administration and Leadership Team
Proposal letter
Literature review
A. Identify the needs that blended learning program will be designed to address
1. Identify the blended learning model to be implemented in the school
2. Create Procedure to check the effectiveness
B. Infrastructure
1. Computer Labs
2. WIFI - strong and reliable connection
3. Twitter Accounts
4. Tablets and iPad distribution
C. Funding and Resources
1. No additional funds needed for devices
2. The Tech Department will provide support by fixing equipment, etc.
3. Parents will be asked to provide tech accessories such as headphones
4. Funding from the school Administration
II.Phase 2: Planning
ü Ensure that all students have iPad and headphones
ü Prepare student surveys for feedback - Google Form
ü Prepare teacher surveys for feedback - Google Form
ü Prepare a Reflections Form for self- feedback
ü Identify needed PD for teachers and leaders
ü Identify who will deliver PD and how it will be delivered
ü Identify teachers who will participate
ü Identify content to meet the needs of the program
ü Determine how content will be acquired. Build, buy or both.
ü Develop support system to maintain infrastructure
III.Phase 3: Pilot Implementation - Year 2
. Teacher’s GT Classes Grades 1-6
1. Engage Students
1. Discuss student interests and preferences
2. Refer to students as scholars
3. Introduce the station rotation model
4. Using discussion groups for better understanding
2. Allow students to experience and explore
3. Explain the purpose of the blended learning implementation
1. Increase motivation and encourage them to take ownership of their own learning
2. Review student work in Google Classroom, Nearpod, Flipgrid and Seesaw
1. Did student work demonstrate that they took ownership of their learning?
2. Was the learning experience meaningful?
3. Do the reflections demonstrate learning?
3. Discuss the learning experience with students
IV.Phase 4: Analyze, Share and Get Feedback
. Involving important people in the students lives to get their feedback
1. Parents
2. Teachers
3. Administration and Leadership Team
. Ask for Feedback from the students about where changes should be implemented
V.Phase 5: Implementation - Year 3
o Teachers set up physical classroom to accommodate blended learning promising practices
o Teachers should test out online platforms and technology devices that will be used in the classroom.
o Teachers should begin planning the content and management for their first blended learning lessons
o Begin first blended learning lessons
o Making learning freer and more accessible to students
o Personalizing teaching programs for students that best suits them
o Choosing a blended learning procedure that will work better for students
