I think I have implemented projects that can be used outside of the classroom. I've enjoyed that aspect of the courses I've taken. I didn't think I would comprehend as much but I did. Many of the projects develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which is certainly meaningful. The students I work with on a daily basis have IEP plans so their lessons should be I tailored to each student individually. When watching John Kotter's video on communication I thought about the communication right here in my classroom and district. I personally think that the communication is horrible and the leadership is a little tricky. This sounds a lot like Kotter’s warning against varying forms of communication, consistency is key at times. Our department struggle with consistency and I feel we are all over the place.
